MFD 2011 was supported by AMAZING people!

Perfect fall weather and fabulous people, (including our beautiful daughters Maggie and Haley and their friends Ed and Will who surprised Ron by coming to say happy 50th!) made the 11th annual MFD a heartwarming success!  Hot dogs, brownies, cider and lemonade thrilled the taste buds while kids played in the bounce house, got their faces painted and picked out their air-brush tattoos.  Meanwhile, adults sipped on cold beverages and listened to the band's original composition of a well known song, making it a "Rock n Roll evening on a Food-drive Saturday night!"  Now, without further hesitation, (but checks still rolling in) our first numbers are . . . drumroll please . . .

147 People in attendance
867 Pounds of Food!
$3163.00 Raised for the Backpack program, which is approximately 13 student backpack's for a whole year!

We don't really know how to thank all the folks who helped us secure donations, haul tables, set up tents, cook food, et and who have giving hearts, but to say we'll do it again next year!  Many thanks and more news to come!  God bless you all!
